With most prices, especially food prices, constantly on the increase, a lot of people are admitting to feeling the pinch. Now in the midst of your own possible discomfort, spare a thought for those hundreds of thousands of people who depend on charities for their food, shelter, health care and general sustenance, as they are among the first to bear the brunt of changes in the economy when their usual donors are looking for ways to trim their own budgets.
